Owen Shroyer: Steve Bannon's prison sentence is a political persecution, a total sham

Owen Shroyer, host of "War Room" on the InfoWars network, blasted the prison sentence on former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon. He branded it as "political persecution" and "a total sham." "Steve Bannon sentenced to four months in jail for the contempt of the Jan. 6 Committee? Total sham, total BS, total political persecution," Shroyer said. The podcast host and former Trump campaign member was found guilty of contempt of Congress in July 2022 after ignoring a subpoena from the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack. He was sentenced to four months in prison, but was released pending an appeal that he and his legal team pledged to make. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols ruled that if an appeal is not made, Bannon must surrender voluntarily by November 15. The Department of Justice (DOJ) had recommended a six-month prison sentence and a $200,000 fine for the political strategist and media executive because of his failure to follow a subpoena to appear before the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 incident. "I want to say one thing: I respect the judge, the sentence he came down with today is his decision. I've been totally respectful of this entire process on the legal side," Bannon stated after the sentencing. According to Shroyer, Bannon's sentence highlighted the big lie about what really happened during the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol siege – including how Democrats have dubbed the incidence as an "insurrection" and a "terror attack." The InfoWars host added that there were no police officers who died on that day. Shroyer pointed out that everything that comes from the political Left in America this year is based on a lie. "There is not a single basis of truth that the American Left and the Democratic Party can derive. Any of their policies – whether it is abortion, Jan. 6, the energy crisis, inflation, Ukraine and Russia – you will not find any truth now, none. It's all lies, it's all propaganda."

Americans are abandoning the Democratic Party

The well-known political activist and commentator mentioned that Americans are abandoning the Democratic Party – with prominent personalities like Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Rogan and Elon Musk throwing their support to the Republican Party. He added that Black and Latino people are leading the walkaway movement of voters from the Democratic Party. Shroyer also slammed the Democrats for using the DOJ to go after GOP members, and for using the media to mislead the people as the midterm elections near. Shroyer stated that a full power grab is going on and the globalists need the Democrats to make sure that all these things happen. He went on to say that this is the most corrupt America has ever been and the American people have never had corruption like this before. The conservative talk show host added that this corruption is all coming out of the Democratic Party and the Biden administration which is being run by the globalists. He mentioned that a warning and alarm sound is already ringing and Americans must do something about the Democrats taking control of Congress again. Shroyer added that America is done if the Democrats regain power in both houses of Congress, with over two years of hell guaranteed for the country and the 2024 election not happening.
